* VISION

One of the “Seven Habits of Highly Success People” by Stephen Covey is, “Begin with the End in Mind”. My question to you is, do you know what the ideal journey looks like? And, yes the word is journey as opposed to destination. I believe it’s about who we become in the process of pursuing a worthy cause that is most important. How many of our God-given talents have we grown and developed along the way? How many individuals around us have we inspired to step into their greatness as well.

This is one area that Joy and I are constantly working on. Defining, Expanding and Clarifying our Vision of what we want our “Journey” to be! Let’s play it in living technicolor in our mind, then step up and live it!!

* UNSHAKABLE FAITH

I’ll let the Good Book and a favorite mentor reflect on this subject. Suffice to say, you’ve got to have unshakable faith in your path to truly have long- lasting success! As the popular song says, “You’ve gotta have Faith”!

Hebrews: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Mathew: If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

* EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE

“Leaders are Readers”! Most of us have heard something like that, well do we take it to heart? One area of my life that I am totally committed to is to remain the life-time student attitude. To always be open to new ideas, growth and stretching constantly.

There is a reason that the true Leaders plug into the Events, Personal Growth, Conference Calls and Learning Opportunities. They have learned and taken to heart the reality that our Level of Success is directly proportionate to the level of Maturity, Leadership Ability and Communication Skills that we develop. I am committed to a lifetime of learning and growth….join me on this journey and our dreams will become a reality!

David Wood, master trainer, friend and head of our companies Personal Development Program loves to quote, “Environment is stronger than willpower”. It seems to me that if you accept this statement at any level, you will realize that what we choose to surround and immerse ourselves in every day will greatly determine who we become.

The old saying “We can’t fly with the eagles if we are pecking around in the dirt with the Chickens” surely does apply here, eh!

Every great leader, mentor and inspirational person that I’ve read about or met, consciously surrounds themselves with “positivity” on a daily basis. They surround themselves with people that hold a common vision and values. They read, watch and listen to media that uplifts them. Let’s create an environment that feeds us not depletes us! Remember, we choose our environment….so let’s all chose wisely!

PATHWAY TO OUR DREAMS = “COMMITMENT”

If there is one quality that every highly successful Networker has in abundance, it is the ability to rise up and fully “COMMIT” to the journey that they have chosen. Personally, I haven’t always been the most naturally talented in many endeavors, yet I always consistently showed up and stepped up. And that made all the difference.

The writing below, by the great poet and philosopher Goethe, sums up to me the true essence of the recipe for major success in our life and business.

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back - Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. Remember, Ignorance on Fire is 10 times more effective than Knowledge on Ice! When I began my Networking Marketing journey a number of years ago, I actually wrote these 5 words on the back of my business card and taped it to my phone! It really helped give me a little prompt and outline for my calls. Especially when the phone looked like a 500 lb Gorilla!!

“STAY THE COURSE”

One of the themes  & lessons that I have been reminded of a number of times this week is “committing to a journey and staying the course“.  In other words the “Law of the Harvest”, where we sow, cultivate, tend the crop….the Seasons change…then, comes the Harvest! So many well intended Networkers get excited, plant a lot of seeds, experience a number of seeds that never sprout or even sprout and shrivel. Never seeing the few seeds that have taken root and raising a brave sprout to the sun. And, they unfortunately grab the next bag of seed, or even giving up on the whole idea of planting and reaping a bountiful harvest.

If you want to be a giant leap ahead of the vast majority of would be successful Network Marketers, then be in the “process”, on the journey….a year from now….two years from now! Realize that one of the most powerful forces in the universe is the gradual, persistantly applied action backed up with a dedicated and passionate energy.

You see, everyone of us have countless God given talents, and we have all been given this amazing “Gift” (our products and business vehicle) with which we can change lives. All that is remaining is for us to keep putting one foot in front of the other and stay true to our dreams and values. Stay the course….and then, we will be in place to recieve the fruits of our efforts!

Here’s a wonderful  perspective on this same subject from the book “Education and Ecstacy and the Way of the Aikido” by George Leonard: “Mastery is the act of setting your foot on the path”. There are no shortcuts, no special tickets needed and none available even if you wanted one. You don’t need to be born with exceptional abilities, nor is it reserved for the super-talented. You don’t even need to have gotten an early start. The upward journey of success is available to anyone who is willing to get on the path and stay on it.

Just remember the words of Goethe, that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too! Stay true to your dreams, my friends and we’ll see you at the top.
